Location
The 8th Annual Assembly is taking a location change in solidarity of the opening of the Muskoka Good Food Co-op, and the expansion of LOFC work into Northern Ontario. In making the move to Huntsville, we have found a great facility that will suit our assembly and make people feel welcome. The Waterloo Summit Center for the Environment offers on-site accommodation with access to beautiful vistas and trails. All the food will be provided on site catered by the Muskoka Good Food Co-op, featuring lots of local food by regional and Ontario producers.
On Site Accommodation and Billets
Similar to what was offered at Ignatius, The Waterloo Summit Center offers dormitory accommodation for conference attendees. Rooms range from single and double to triple person rooms. We have adjusted rates based on dormitory size. There is also on site shared kitchen areas so you can store and share food based on your special needs.
We are also offering billet accommodations with fellow members of the Muskoka Good Food Co-op.
Travel to Huntsville
We are offering a free bus from Toronto on March 21st and returning March 22nd. You can book a spot on the bus when you register.
The bus will leave from the Fresh Co parking lot at 2401 Dundas Street West, just north of the Dundas West Subway station at 7:30 am on Tuesday March 21st. The bus will be leaving from Huntsville Wednesday March 22nd at 4:30pm. You must register to reserve a seat on the bus.
If your travelling by car, with colleagues think about carpooling. Let us know if you have space in your car for other co-op friends.
If you need a ride, let us know and we will see if we can set you up with a carpool ride, provided seats are available.
